Course Overview
Web Development encompasses designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications involving both front-end and back-end development. Front-end development focuses on creating visually appealing and interactive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while back-end development involves server-side programming, database management, and ensuring the functionality and performance of the website.
Students in this course will learn programming fundamentals, project planning, content management, user experience, team communication, and digital design. The skills gained in this course are directly applicable to careers in web development, digital design, and digital marketing while contributing to technical and nontechnical skills for communication and collaboration in corporate careers.
Explore coding concepts that are needed for basic web development and uncover the different elements of a simple web page.
Learn the fundamental languages of HTML and CSS which are used to develop web pages and websites.
Create a variety of simple projects, including a personal portfolio of posters, websites, and art. Each of the projects, once finished, can be shared online with friends.
